| • | June - 1990 The family moves from New York to Virginia. Sean makes the transition easily, but always considers himself a New Yorker.

CHHS football season starts! Sean is a senior and LOVES every moment!!!

| • | June - 1996 Sean graduates from Clover Hill High School.

| |
| • | October - 1996 Sean goes off to Parris Island to become a United States Marine.

| • | January - 1997 Sean graduates boot camp! After SOI, he's off to Hawaii for four years.

| • | August - 2000 Sean comes to NC to become an instructor at SOI. He goes on to become a 2nd degree black belt and teaches martial arts to students.

| • | November - 2002 Sean and Gen get married at Thanksgiving, making Gen an official Miles. The whole family is glad to see them both so happy together.

| • | May - 2003 Tyler Regi Miles is born, and Sean officially becomes the coolest dad ever. Rarely is one seen without the other, especially when napping on the couch together.

| • | July - 2005 Sean is deployed to Iraq. He is proud to serve and has spent years training for this moment.

| • | October - 2005 Sean is involved in a serious firefight with the enemy. It is one of many times that he shows his true bravery and courage. His ability to lead his men during a battle is one of the reasons he is awarded a bronze star.

| • | January - 2006 Sean is killed in Iraq while on patrol. When his unit begins to fall under attack, he sees one of his Marines pinned down and panicking. Sean selflessly and instinctively pushes him to safety, but exposes himself to enemy fire in the process.
Sean is later posthumously awarded the Bronze Star with V for Valor at his funeral for his actions.
